![]() So good we are heading back to Berlin in August, excited to try Berghain again and we have an extra night as well, this time we will try to get in to Berghain a bit earlier on the Saturday, we met locals who told us the best way to get in is to go in singles. The club is quite dark inside and there are lots of nooks and crannies for naughty stuff, people lose their inhibitions inside it is really brilliant. The atmopshere of the place and the people and the music was really really good nothing at all like I had experienced before and I have to say it was a million trillion times better than any club I had been to in Ibiza (I did a season in 2008 and went to every club on the isle). The drinks were cheap and the bar staff were fine. Anyway we went up to the main Berghain bit, it was brilliant, very intense atmosphere and music was heavy techno - not like London nights a lot better sound quality and atmospher, we went up to Panarama bar too which was cool more housey and more English in there but I preferred Berghain. ![]() We were anxious as we were sure if the other girls had got in but they did, so our group was very excited that we had all got in. As you walk in you are searched and then you get a massive Berghain stamp which basically enables you to go in and out of the club as you please, as soon as you get into the cloakroom aread you can feel the heat, its very humid and there are lots of clubbers milling about, all friendly times mainly German. I was wearing black jeans, with old black rebox and a dark green shirt, v casual, and friend was wearing black jeans and black top, the other two were dressed more commerically but both also got in about 20 mins later. Anyway they let us go straight through, asked us if we had been anywhere else as well - we hadn't as our clear goal was a great night here which they realised. The bouncers looked us up and down, Sven was not there - his shift finishes earlier, it was touch and go as one bouncer seemed okay to let us in but the other one was umming and aahing, anyway they asked us in English how old we were, we had practices to speak in German but all of this flew fat at the door when you are under pressure. We just walked up confidently to the bouncers there was No queue at all, it was a scorching day and the vibe outside of the club was good. One of our friends was dressed quite crazy with a big black hat but she has a Berliner look about her anyway - a lot have piercings and tattoos, she went with another friend who looked more English and then I went with one other girl who was 21. We woke up on the Sunday at 5:00am and went to Berghain for 7.00am as we had heard it would be easier to go in, we got the tube and walked from there it was quite tricky to find and industrial, we were a group of 4 females ranging from 21-29, we decided to split into groups of 4 with ones who we thought were weakest going with strongest. On our first day in Berlin we noticed that NO one dresses up to go at all.so we decided we would dress casually. We had done loads and loads of research prior to going, we had heard to dress dull or to dress in a crazy style, either way this was just research done on the internet and what we had heard it was all very unclear. Now that is what I am like so you can relate this review to me if you are a simliar person. I am 26 female and lived in London for nearly 4 years, I have done Ibiza twice and I like to go clubbing to a lot of the underground nights in London, am a regular on resident advisor, but have found recently London nights have become over croweded with the Essex wannabe poser and people who aren't really there for the music, I only go for my favourite djs and not for posing or pulling which unfortunately it is like now. Dear all, I am going to give you a totally accurate review of Berghain and I will tell you what I am like as well.
